One of a group of tiles making up a panel which represents the interior of a mosque with lamps hanging from the arches. At the top of the central arch is a crescent, a symbol of the Ottomans ruling Syria at this time. The cypress trees give the impression of a garden. The tiles are inscribed Allah (God) and Muhammad, and with the names of the first four caliphs Abu Bakr (d. AD 632), 'Umar (d. AD 661), 'Uthman (d.AD 644) and 'Ali (d.AD 661).
