Pair of flat triangular-shaped silver temple pendants, known as tenechir. Each triangular pendant has at its centre a set oval cabochon carnelian and has gilt floral decoration. Each has openwork decoration above and below the triangular element and has nine chains hanging from loops terminating in plain undecorated lozenge shapes.

These pendants were exhibited in the "Turcoman of Iran" exhibition which toured several venues in the United Kingdom in 1971-1972, and were published in "The Turkoman of Iran" (Kendal: Titus Wilson and Son Ltd, n.d.), p.116. They were also exhibited in "Rites of Passage" at the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, 21/7-17/9/2000.
